In total, 544 individuals are being treated in hospital due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 15 November, hospital treatment is being provided to 544 individuals who have been infected with COVID-19. A total of 430 patients who have COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment after having developed serious symptoms, including 317 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 73.7% of the overall figure), and 113 patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 26.3% of the overall figure).

Thirty-seven new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours. Seventeen new deaths have been registered within the same period of time, involving a 53 year-old woman, a 64 year-old woman, a 66 year-old woman, a 69 year-old woman, a 70 year-old woman, a 71 year-old man, a 72 year-old man and a 72 year-old woman, a 76 year-old man, a 79 year-old man, two 87 year-old women, two 89 year-old women, a 92 year-old woman, and a 96 year-old woman and 96 year-old man. Fourteen of those individuals had not been vaccinated.

The last 24 hours have also seen 4,417 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 511 were positive. In total, 302 of the new cases were unvaccinated, while 209 infected individuals had completed the vaccination process.

A total of 1,065 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, with 276 individuals receiving their first injections. As of this morning, 114,266 individuals had received their additional or booster doses. Of the total population in Estonia, 58.3% are fully vaccinated.

Monday morning’s COVID-19 report is able to state that a total of ninety-seven individuals are being treated in hospital due to symptomatic COVID-19. Hospitals opened eighty new COVID-19 cases last week. The percentage of positive test results out of all tests increased by almost 15%.
