In total, 439 individuals are being treated in hospital due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 11 February, hospital treatment is being provided to 439 individuals who have been infected with COVID-19. A total of 277 patients who have COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment after having developed severe symptoms, including 182 patients or 66% of the overall figure who have not been vaccinated, and ninety-five patients or 34% who have been fully vaccinated.

Sixty-six new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours; in 37 cases amongst these, the patients required hospitalisation due to symptomatic COVID-19. On average, 40 new patients each day who exhibit signs of symptomatic COVID-19 infection have been hospitalised within the past ten days. Five new deaths have been added involving a 55 year-old man, an 85 year-old woman, an 88 year-old man, an 89 year-old woman, and also an 89 year-old man. Three of those individuals had not been vaccinated.

The last 24 hours have also seen 9,290 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 5,112 were positive. The average infection rate for the last seven days for every 100,000 members of the country's vaccinated population is 378.8, while for the unvaccinated population the figure is 584.3.

A total of 1,540 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, with 153 individuals receiving their first injections. As of this morning, 417,930 individuals had received their additional or booster doses. Of the total population in Estonia, 62.7% have received two vaccine doses.
