In total, 346 individuals are being treated in hospital due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 31 January, hospital treatment is being provided to 346 individuals who have been infected with COVID-19. A total of 219 patients who have COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment after having developed serious symptoms, including 171 patients who have not been vaccinated (which covers 78.1% of the overall figure), and forty-eight patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 21.9% of the overall figure).

Forty-eight new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours. One new death has been added within the same period which involves a 94 year-old woman. This individual had not been vaccinated.

The last 24 hours have also seen 9,756 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 4,964 were positive. The average infection rate for the last seven days for every 100,000 members of the countrys vaccinated population is 345.7, while for the unvaccinated population the figure is 562.6.

A total of 1,087 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, with 95 individuals receiving their first injections. As of this morning, 379,837 individuals had received their additional or booster doses. Of the total population in Estonia, 62.4% are fully vaccinated.

Monday morning saw a grand total of 143 COVID-19 patients who required hospitalisation. In week 31, an overall figure of 122 new cases of COVID-19 were registered by hospitals.

Monday morning saw a grand total of 146 COVID-19 patients who required hospitalisation. In week 30, an overall figure of 143 new cases of COVID-19 were registered by hospitals.
