In total, 263 individuals are being treated in hospital due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 14 October, hospital treatment is being provided to 263 individuals who have symptomatic COVID-19. A total of 342 patients with COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment, including 215 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 62.9% of the overall figure), and 127 patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 37.1% of the overall figure).

Fifty-five new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours. Five new deaths have been registered within the same period of time, involving a 46 year-old man, a 56 year-old man, an 80 year-old man, an 84 year-old man, and a 93 year-old man. None of those individuals had been vaccinated.

The last 24 hours have also seen 6,919 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 1,060 were positive. In total, 678 of the new cases were unvaccinated, while 382 infected individuals had completed the vaccination process.

A total of 1,698 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, and 1,394,281 vaccine doses have been administered overall. Of the total adult population in Estonia, 67.8% have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
