In total, 252 individuals are being treated in hospital due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 13 October, hospital treatment is being provided to 252 individuals who have symptomatic COVID-19. A total of 316 patients with COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment, including 213 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 67.4% of the overall figure), and 103 patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 32.6% of the overall figure).

Fifty-five new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours. Two new deaths have been registered within the same period of time, involving a 70 year-old woman and an 81 year-old woman. Both of those individuals had been vaccinated.

The last 24 hours have also seen 7,314 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 1,228 were positive. In total, 810 of the new cases were unvaccinated, while 418 infected individuals had completed the vaccination process.

A total of 1,991 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, and 1,392,591 vaccine doses have been administered overall. Of the total adult population in Estonia, 67.7% have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
