In total, 217 individuals are being treated in hospital due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 11 October, hospital treatment is being provided to 217 individuals who have symptomatic COVID-19. A total of 273 patients with COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment, including 185 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 67.8% of the overall figure), and eighty-eight patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 32.2% of the overall figure).

Thirty-three new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours. Six new deaths have been registered within the same period of time, involving a 61 year-old woman, a 72 year-old woman, an 80 year-old man, an 82 year-old man, an 87 year-old woman, and a 94 year-old woman. Five of those individuals had not been vaccinated.

The last 24 hours have also seen 4,087 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 727 were positive. In total, 495 of the new cases were unvaccinated, while 232 infected individuals had completed the vaccination process.

A total of 1,212 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, and 1,388,983 vaccine doses have been administered overall. Of the total adult population in Estonia, 67.6% have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
