In total, 180 individuals are being treated in hospitals due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 1 October hospital treatment is being provided to 180 individuals who have symptomatic COVID-19. A total of 215 patients with COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment, including 152 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 70.7% of the overall figure), and sixty-three patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 29.3% of the overall figure).

Thirty-one new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours. Two new deaths have been registered within the same period of time, involving an 86 year-old man and an 87 year-old man.

The last 24 hours have also seen 6,350 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 730 were positive. In total, 500 of the new cases were unvaccinated, while 230 infected individuals had completed the vaccination process.

A total of 2,828 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, and 1,370,575 vaccine doses have been administered overall. Of the total adult population in Estonia, 67.0% have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

As of the morning of 19 January, hospital treatment is being provided to 315 individuals who have been infected with COVID-19. A total of 223 patients who have COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment after having developed serious symptoms, including 178 patients who have not been vaccinated (which covers 80% of the overall figure), and forty-five patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 20% of the overall figure).
