In total, 161 individuals are being treated in hospitals due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 24 September hospital treatment is being provided to 161 individuals who have symptomatic COVID-19. A total of 195 patients with COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment, including 139 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 71.3% of the overall figure), and fifty-six patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 28.7% of the overall figure).

Twenty new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours. Two new deaths have been registered within the same period of time, involving a 74 year-old man and a 92 year-old man.

The last 24 hours have also seen 3,229 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 390 were positive. In total, 274 of the new cases were unvaccinated, while 116 infected individuals had completed the vaccination process.

A total of 2,018 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, and 1,359,979 vaccine doses have been administered overall. Of the total adult population in Estonia, 66.7% have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

A total of 304 of those patients have been hospitalised with severe COVID-19 cases, including 211 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 69.4% of the overall figure), and ninety-three patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 30.6% of the overall figure).
