In total, 154 individuals are being treated in hospitals due to symptomatic COVID-19

As of the morning of 17 September there are 154 individuals with symptomatic COVID-19 who require hospital treatment. A total of 174 patients who have COVID-19 are currently receiving hospital treatment, including 123 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 70.7% of the overall figure), and fifty-one patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 29.3% of the overall figure).

Thirty new COVID-19 cases have been opened by hospitals within the past 24 hours. Three new deaths have been registered within the past 24 hours, involving a 72 year-old man, a 77 year-old woman, and an 85 year-old man.

The last 24 hours have also seen 6,442 tests being analysed in Estonia in relation to coronavirus, of which the results of 532 were positive. In total, 391 of the new cases were unvaccinated, while 141 infected individuals had completed the vaccination process.

A total of 3,785 vaccine doses have been administered over the past 24 hours, and 1,326,158 vaccine doses have been administered overall. Of the total adult population in Estonia, 65.9% have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

A total of 304 of those patients have been hospitalised with severe COVID-19 cases, including 211 patients who have not been vaccinated (which means 69.4% of the overall figure), and ninety-three patients who have been fully vaccinated (which amounts to 30.6% of the overall figure).
