30 additional positive COVID-19 test results over the past 24-hours
Over the last 24 hours, 1057 COVID-19 virus tests were analyzed in Estonia, 30 of those tests, or 2.8% turned out to be positive. Altogether, 47 331 initial tests have been carried out in Estonia as of today, 1635 of these, or 3.5%, have been positive.
As of the morning of April 25, the number of people in Estonia requiring hospital treatment due to the novel coronavirus is 99, 6 of whom are on assisted ventilation. 228 people have been discharged from the hospitals. There were no new deaths during the last 24 hours. In total, 46 people have died of the coronavirus in Estonia.
In the last 24 hours, the counties with the most new positive test results were Ida-Viru (15), Harju (10) and Saare (4). There was 1 positive test result in Pärnu County. The statistics is compiled according to the data in the population register. The age group with the most COVID-19 infections is 55-59, 12%. Healthcare service providers (including laboratories) have the possibility to amend, change and cancel documents ex post. In the open data we always publish current information on the results of the initial tests, from the data renewed once in 24 hours in the Health Information System (TIS) database. The changes, amendments and cancellations made by the laboratories regarding previous time periods are also reflected in the open data.

A total of 202 influenza and 1,726 COVID-19 cases reported this week
In week fifteen, a total of 3,184 people fell ill with acute respiratory infections, of whom 38.4% were children. The overall incidence of acute respiratory viral diseases increased by 39%.
A total of 151 new influenza cases and 1,466 COVID-19 cases have been added this week
In week fourteen, a grand total of 2,297 people fell ill with acute respiratory infections. Overall, 36.4% of all of the new cases involved children. The number of new cases decreased by a third.
