We act on behalf of public health and a healthy living environment.
Vision
By 2025, all Estonian people will be aware of the health and living environment that supports health. This will be achieved by the Health Board, the people and the sincere cooperation of different parties.
The Health Board is the competent authority for:
- Recognition of medical qualification
- Regulation of medical devices
- Surveillance, prevention, and control of communicable diseases, risk analysis in epidemiology
- Cosmetic products
- Chemical safety
- Drinking water, bathing waters
