Biocidal products are regulated in the EU by the 
Biocidal Products Directive (BPD), which is implemented into Estonian law through the Biocides Act (RTI, 09.06.2009, 29, 174).
The competent authority for authorisation and registration of biocidal products in Estonia is Health Board.
National authorisation/registration is required for all product types before marketing and use in Estonia.
